Meet Our Team
Lead Carpenter & Senior Foreman
Max attended Truman State University in Missouri earning his degree in finance. Upon arrival to Jackson in 2012, Max spent his first few years at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort overseeing the kids ski school. Then pursuing one of his many passions in the wilderness, Max worked for an outfitter tracking and hunting wild game. Leading countless pack trips with lifelong clients and friends he eventually took over Hoback Peak Outfitters. Coming in from the back country, Max discovered yet another passion, carpentry. He refined his skills for many years building log structures; until he moved onto the more intricate craftsmanship of carpentry with Holderman Construction. This guy is born to be outside for play or for work, always!
Max is a seasoned scout for hunting trips, an accomplished horseman, and the ever-present watchful eye keeping everyone safe in camp. His dry sense of humor and quick wit serve him well at Holderman Construction. He frequently needs to think on his feet and his extremely personable and gregarious disposition make him awesome to work with. He loves being able to create and transform things with his hands. Taking each vision and slowly and methodically creating from scratch. Max enjoys and excels at trim work and customization. When facing challenges, we’ll hear him say…
“As complex as it all is, if you step back, narrow it down and focus on the smallest thing at hand and build from there it all makes sense.”
