About Us

Holderman Construction, deeply rooted in Jackson for more than two decades, is a local enterprise. Over the years, we’ve fostered robust connections with our employees, subcontractors, and preferred vendors. Our construction team boasts a collective building experience exceeding 150 years, specializing in the greater Jackson Hole & Star Valley, Wyoming areas.

Scott Holderman

Co-Owner & President

Scott moved to Jackson in 1997 and began in construction with local legend Dave Leinonen. As a self-starter, motivated in and by construction, Scott moved up the rungs quickly.

You’ve heard the saying, “love what you do and you won’t work a day in your life.” This personifies Scott’s drive, integrity, and passion for his craftsmanship. During Scott’s early years in the trade, Leinonen shaped him with a strong foundational understanding of building in this environment and community. Scott worked for several other contractors before branching off on his own in 2018 and founding Holderman Construction.

His philosophy is to have a strong working relationship with the regions’ preferred subcontractors; who have also worked twenty plus years in this valley, forging strong partnerships building remarkable structures. Scott’s internal compass sets his bearings on integrity, quality craftsmanship, transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness.

Scott’s passion is the ‘punch list’ to make 100% certain that his clients are thrilled with their project. He also loves doing stair treads because of the unique challenge and personality that they lend to each build. Stairs can be thought-provoking, and embracing their construction is labor intensive to get them correct, not to mention super rewarding once accomplished.

Some hidden talents include playing guitar, with a nod to Grateful Dead, Billy Strings & Steve Winwood. Pay attention and you may just see Scott jamming at a local pub or with Cowboy George! Scott’s tenacity has earned him bragging rights for summitting Grand Teton thirteen times! As a devoted hunter Scott has found his quarries regionally, as well as in Alaska, and has even harvested Coues Deer from Mexico. Scott attended the University of Pennsylvania at State College.
